Russell Curtis, Director

portrait_rcAfter three years at Chetwood Associates, where he was involved in the groundbreaking Sainsbury’s store at Greenwich Peninsula, Russell spent three years as Project Leader working throughout Europe on a number of laboratory schemes for clients such as Shell and BP. He was the Project Leader in charge of the new EpiCentre Learning Centre and Research Facility for Shell International Exploration & Production in Rijswijk, the Netherlands.

In 2003 he returned to the UK to join Black Architecture, a practice specialising in mixed-use development and sustainable urban design. Amongst other projects, he was the Project Leader for the design of IKEA’s first mixed-use project in the UK.

In 2006 Russell became a founding director of RCKa.
